September 17, 2008 - In August, of this year, right before volleyball season opened, Lisa George Design Inc.  (a Restaurant Design Company located in North Portland) talked to  Keri Hughes, (Roosevelt High School Varsity Volleyball coach) about sponsorship for her team.  In cooperation with Ms. Hughes, Lisa George Design Inc. has purchased Warm-up jerseys and sweats for the Varsity and J.V. Volleyball Teams.  Lisa George Design Inc. has also set up a program for the girls to receive team meals at all of the Home games.  This has proven to be very successful.  The team members are thrilled to have this given to them, it makes them look and feel like a team to be reckoned with and so far it is true.  They are undefeated in league play.   As one Senior player told us "You have made my Senior year Awesome".  The team has been very appreciative and thankful for our contribution in giving back to the North Portland Community.  This is a wonderful group of girls and it is very satisfying to see how proud they are of what they have been given.  We invite everyone to come and see a game sometime and check out the girls uniforms.  They sure look Proud to be a Lady Roughrider!

Grand opening of 50 Plates!  During the design phase of this project Lisa George Design had several challenges ahead of them.  The kitchen area was very small and needed to accomodate a wide variety of functions, (cooking/prep/pastry).  Also, there was the challenge of designing a bar area that would be condusive to the morning coffee clientel and then the afternoon/evening bar clientel.  Another challenge was the low ceiling height in the space and kitchen.  This presented a challenge for the hood system that was being designed.  It was accomplished by putting in a low profile hood.  Overall the kitchen layout was a success!  This was a joint effort on all involved.  I want to thank Beth Rear of Ankrom Moisan Architects for her knowledge of interior design on this project and working closely with me on several design issues.  Also I would especially like to thank Joe and Ginger Rapport for their trust in me to design this new concept for them.  It was a great pleasure working with both of you and your staff on this project.

Lisa George Design Inc. announces the launch of their new website. This website will focus on the design and equipment of all types of food service establishments in the Oregon, Washington, California and Utah areas.
